Old Hansonton Beach is one of the best dog-friendly beaches in England. It is in the village of Old Hunstanton on the North Norfolk coast and is an easy walk from Hunstanton. The entire beach is known for its golden sands and stunning sunsets.
Old Hunstanton Beach has no dog rules all year round so you can walk your dog on the beach all year round. There are plenty of places to walk the dogs, explore the sand dunes or swim in the sea. There is even more room to run at low tide when the beach becomes much wider and the flat beach seems endless.
Old Hansonton Beach is easy to get to. From the town of Hunstanton you can hike the cliffs at high tide, or at low tide you can find wrecks on the beach and hunt in the rock pools. Alternatively, you can park in the large hourly pay car park at Old Hunstanton Beach and Lighthouse.

Dogs are welcome all year round in Warkworth and access is easy, there is a car park a quarter of a mile from the village and the beach is a 5 minute walk down the dunes.
Warkworth Beach is one of Northumberland’s best beaches and is an easy circular walk. It’s a perfect beach to walk to Alnmouth and then back by bus. A maximum of 2 per bus) is allowed on Go North East Buses and is a great way to learn more if you are not a driver.
